Project Manager, Restoration
Responsible for managing a project from evaluation and pre-design through post-construction, including coordination and leadership of project team in developing required documents. Technical competence is expected, but equally important is understanding the responsibilities that go along with managing project and client needs.
From a technical standpoint you will be involved with building and property condition assessments, design of repairs to existing building envelope components including: roofs, curtain walls, masonry, EIFS and pre-cast concrete. Responsibilities include overseeing field projects, preparing and reviewing reports, and marketing our services by maintaining regular client interactions.
Candidates should have broad-based experience working on Facilities, Building Envelope and Specialty Materials Testing projects.
Manager of the Restoration Group
Plan, execute, and monitor project scope and manpower requirements/fees, including review of job status reports.
Primary contact with Client—coordinate information and communications between Owner and team, review scope changes, make design presentations, review/approve Contractor invoices, and work with responsible director for fee billings.
Coordinate project team, team meetings, information between departments, and workloads with departments.
Coordinate outside consultants with Owner and Project Team, including consultant selection and communications.
Coordinate review and compliance with appropriate code authorities, including communication, review, and applications.
If registered/certified, responsible for sealing/documentation of project and team.
Maintain and coordinate project files.
Oversees all phases of the project, with through knowledge of techniques and procedures:
Continuing education – ASCE Seminars/NSPE Seminars/ACI/AIA.
Certification programs- (CSI, ACI, ASCE, NSPE, AIA)
Preferred holding of a current registered discipline: P.E./S.E./R.A
8-10 years experience in Building Envelope Restoration Consulting
Degree in Architecture, Structural/Civil Engineering, Restoration Engineering
Knowledge and experience in field inspection in the Building Envelope System Required:
< Facades
< Roof & Waterproofing Systems
< Glass & Glazing: Curtain wall systems
Non-destructive testing and Destructive testing experience
Good communication skills to effectively work with Clients from beginning design to post construction.
Knowledge of project management process as it relates to the business.
Knowledgeable in construction, such as industry standards, materials, codes, contracts, bidding processes, etc.
Knowledge in Q.C./Q.A. standards of the Building Envelope
Desire to pursue continuing education and certification programs (CSI, ACI, ASCE, NSPE).
Willingness to contribute to a teamwork-oriented environment.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
