Senior Marketing Program Manager / PMO Lead

6-12 month contract with potential for hire, 40 hours a week.

Must be based in Denver or Chicago areas and work hybrid schedule 3 days a week onsite.

The Role in Brief

Our client is looking for a strategic Senior Marketing Program Manager to bring structure, governance, and executive-level program leadership to a fast-moving marketing organization. This is not a traffic manager, creative project manager, or execution-focused coordinator role.

The client needs someone who operates closer to a PMO Lead or Program Manager profile: comfortable stepping into ambiguity, building the operational frameworks that don't yet exist, and acting as a strategic partner to leadership rather than a timeline keeper.

The ideal candidate has led large-scale, cross-functional programs from strategy through execution and reporting, and can walk into an organization, assess what's missing, and build the standards, governance, and processes to fix it.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end campaign, UX/UI, and program management across multiple concurrent, cross-functional initiatives
• Define campaign goals, success metrics, and governance frameworks from scratch
• Build project plans, operating models, and PMO standards rather than executing against ones already in place
• Identify risk and dependencies early, and build out mitigation plans before they become blockers
• Partner with stakeholders across marketing, product, and business functions to align priorities and drive execution
• Present regularly to executive leadership and the C-suite, including status updates, risk reporting, KPI tracking, and strategic recommendations
• Bring outside best practices to the organization and help mature its overall program and PMO capabilities
• Operate independently, driving strategy and execution without needing significant day-to-day direction

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in end-to-end campaign or program management, ideally at a Senior Program Manager, PMO Lead, Product Program Manager, or Marketing Operations Lead level
• Strong track record of building project plans, governance processes, and operational frameworks, not just running against existing ones
• Deep experience in risk identification, mitigation planning, and dependency management across complex programs
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions and levels of seniority
• Demonstrated experience presenting to and communicating with executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders
• Strong executive reporting skills: status updates, risk reporting, KPI tracking, and actionable recommendations
• Experience helping organizations establish or mature PMO and program management standards
• Workfront experience highly preferred
• PMP certification highly preferred
• Healthcare Experience Preferred
