Kpop Exchange
About Kpop Exchange
Kpop Exchange began as a pandemic side hustle and has grown into one of the fastest-growing specialty K-pop retailers in the United States. The business has more than doubled in recent years and is entering its next stage of growth.
We serve fans worldwide through our e-commerce site, TikTok Shop, and retail store in Aurora, Colorado. TikTok Shop is our flagship store, and we already operate an active social-commerce business through live shopping and shoppable content.
Kpop Exchange is a one-stop specialty retailer for K-pop fans and collectors, with thousands of fast-moving SKUs across albums, merchandise, photocards, limited releases, and collectibles. This is not a simple single-brand DTC catalog. Product details, versions, scarcity, fandom behavior, consumer psychology, and rapidly changing trends all matter.
We are now building the leadership team and operating systems required for the next stage of the company.
This is not a role where you inherit a finished department. It is an opportunity to build one.
We are hiring a hands-on e-commerce leader to own the product and catalog function across Shopify, TikTok Shop, and our broader social-commerce operation.
You will oversee products from initial announcement through preorder launch, pricing, catalog management, inventory updates, arrival, and transition to in-stock. You will coordinate across marketing, warehouse, retail, design, customer support, and remote support teams to ensure launches are accurate and on time.
Your first priority will be to stabilize the function by improving launch execution, documenting core processes, strengthening inventory controls, and creating clearer ownership.
From there, you will build the systems and team needed to support significantly greater volume. This role will begin as a highly hands-on position, with the expectation that you will eventually identify, hire, train, and manage specialists underneath you.
Strong performance may create a path into broader director-level e-commerce ownership as the company grows.
This position reports directly to the Founder.

A Complex Product and Inventory Environment
Kpop Exchange operates its own warehouse and does not use a traditional 3PL.
Our catalog is fast-moving, collectibles-driven, and operationally complex. We manage albums, member versions, pre-order benefits, individual trading cards, and limited edition imported merch.
The person in this role must understand that small differences in version, condition, exclusivity, rarity, or inclusion can materially change customer demand and product value.
What Success Looks Like
QualificationsRequired
Schedule
This role requires reliable coverage during Korean product announcement windows, including Sunday evenings and select weekday evenings.
Hours are flexible and designed around launch needs rather than a traditional 9–5 schedule. A few major events each year may also require limited weekend participation.
Location
This is a remote-first role, with Denver-area candidates strongly preferred.
Local employees will visit the Denver warehouse during onboarding and periodically for major projects, launches, and events. Non-local employees may occasionally travel to Denver, with company-paid travel, when in-person collaboration would materially support the role.
Depending on the person’s strengths and future responsibilities, there may also be opportunities to attend industry events or travel on behalf of Kpop Exchange.
$70,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience, location, and scope.
Full-time W-2 employment is available in approved U.S. states.
We intend to offer benefits administered through Gusto, with final plan details confirmed at the offer stage.

What made it complex, what did you personally own?
Please explain the systems, processes, or controls you have used?
Choose something relevant to this role, such as product pages, catalog structure, launches, merchandising, inventory accuracy, SEO, or CRO, and explain it as though you were training a junior team member.
What draws you to this kind of business? Tell us about any collectible, fandom, music, hobby, or scarcity-driven category you understand or participate in, and how that should influence product selection, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
Clear, specific explanations matter more than production quality. Please focus on what you personally owned, implemented, or improved.
Applications submitted without the required video will not move forward.
