Data Analyst/Analytics EngineerHybrid Onsite 3 Days a Week - Dallas, TX3 Month Contract to HireHourly Rate: $60 -$65 depending on YOE** Not open to relocation at this time - must be local to Dallas for onsite interviews** Not open to c2c or 1099Our client is seeking a Data Analyst II to join their Enterprise Data & Analytics organization supporting Supply Chain, Construction, and Purchasing initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business and engineering- partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs while designing scalable analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex business problems, building trusted datasets, and creating scalable analytics solutions that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical data models using dbt.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze, transform, and validate enterprise data.
• Build and maintain scalable reporting and dashboards using Power BI (or similar BI platforms).
• Create documentation, functional requirements, and project deliverables for analytics initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams supporting upstream data ingestion and pipeline development.
• Utilize Git and version control best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cross-functional product and analytics teams.
• Apply data visualization best practices to create meaningful business insights.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in analytics processes and data quality.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling and analytical data structures.
• Hands-on experience using dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within Agile development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI (Tableau experience is also welcomed).
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (S3, Glue, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience supporting production analytics environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment best practices.
• Experience working within modern cloud-based analytics platforms
