Duties
- Responsible for ensuring overall IT performance and system availability across the agency.
- Develop and maintain support documentation.
- Create, update, and execute disaster and security plans in alignment with internal, county, and state data protection requirements.
- Oversee the use of outsourced resources, including external contractors and county/state personnel, for project planning, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of IT policies, procedures, and budgets.
- Participate in IT projects by assessing networking needs, implementing solutions, and ensuring adherence to network and security policies and procedures.
- Serve as the IT liaison with county and state personnel, agency partners, private contractors, and internal IT staff to support effective system development and implementation.
- Communicate relevant information and foster productive working relationships.
- Participate in a variety of internal and external meetings, including regular staff meetings.
- Maintain and track employees’ completion of training.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and correct various desktop problems within the network.
- Provide technical assistance to agency employees by answering questions and responding to internal questions or problems.
- Maintain inventory of agency equipment.
- Maintain files and records, and supervise staff responsible for preparing and scanning all incoming mail and documents.
- Perform quality control on imaged documents, ensure productivity standards, make necessary corrections, and provide training as needed.
- Coordinate in-house document storage and destruction in accordance with the agency’s Records Retention Schedule.
- Prepare and update written guidelines for staff.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Tax Information confidentiality requirements, including maintaining the tracking log.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence, including regular mail and interoffice mail.
- Provide work directions to regulate workflow and ensure departmental compliance.
- Maintain mail logs and related data records.
- Compile statistical reports as requested by the supervisor or director.
- Perform safety officer duties when required.
- Supervise assigned staff by monitoring performance and attendance, addressing concerns, and recommending disciplinary action when necessary.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience including but not limited to: Completion of undergraduate core coursework in computer science or 36 months experience in software installation, maintenance for mainframe operating systems.

- 24 months supervisory experience that includes employee training and development is required.
