This position is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and Travel Management Company (TMC) accounts to achieve profitable sales and revenue targets. You will drive market share through effective relationship management, negotiation of corporate agreements, and strategic acquisition of new business.
The role also involves analysing account performance, securing preferred deals, and leveraging Malaysia Airlines' global network to strengthen partnerships and maximise commercial outcomes.
Key Accountability Manage and grow Malaysia Airlines' Corporate, TMC, MICE and SME portfolio in line with Commercial Sales Plans. Develop and implement account strategies for retention, growth and conversion to achieve revenue and market share targets.
Negotiate and manage preferred supplier agreements, tenders and RFPs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders to ensure service excellence. Conduct regular account reviews and performance analysis to identify opportunities and improve results. Gather and report market intelligence to support competitive positioning and business planning.
Partner with codeshare carriers and trade partners to drive revenue and brand visibility. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. Support commercial initiatives, promotions and strategic planning across the region. Represent Malaysia Airlines as a brand ambassador while achieving defined revenue targets. Profile description:
Knowledge, Experience and Professional Strengths A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in corporate account management, preferably within the travel or aviation industry, is required. Experience in B2B sales, corporate travel, or related fields. A good experience of the airline industry, corporate travel management, and related technologies is essential.
Strong knowledge of airline products, services, and the Australian & New Zealand travel industry. Proven experience in account management, sales and marketing program development, and revenue growth. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate clients. Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong commercial acumen with analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities. High level of customer service delivery and ability to perform under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong organisational and project management skills. Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally, including after-hours commitments; valid driver's licence required.
