Through its three divisions, Concord National, Indigo Natural Products, and Stack Merchandising, we provide sales, retail coverage, import, distribution, and coast-to-coast merchandising services to support brands in major chains and independent stores nationwide.

We are currently seeking an experienced Manager People and Culture to join our team in the GTA or Laval, Quebec region. This is a critical role with significant impact on the growth and success of our business. This is a hybrid position, requiring two days per week in our Mississauga or Laval office.

This position requires the incumbent to be fully bilingual in English and French.

The base annual salary range for this role is: $110,000 to $130,000Why Join Us?

The Opportunity

The Manager People and Culture partners with senior leadership to develop organizational capability, build culture and align the people strategy with our business strategy. In this role you will champion our core values and organizational culture to foster an inclusive, respectful, high-performance workplace.

Reporting initially to the current Manager HR for a 3 to 6 month transition period before working directly with the President.

This position requires the incumbent to be fully bilingual (English and French).

Primary

Duties

• Develop and manage the annual HR plan and budget that align with the corporate business objectives as set out by senior leadership
• Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you are responsible for recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development.
• Support the leadership team in organizational design, change management, communications planning, and provide leadership coaching during change.
• Maintain and administer performance management framework including the annual review process, goal setting, performance improvement plans and leadership coaching
• Manage the Collage HRIS and associated ATS, as well as payroll system, and employee records.
• Build strong employee relations founded on and motivated by our core values.
• Maintain and administer the compensation program including salary benchmarking, market reviews and annual salary planning
• Support and advise functional and departmental managers on the interpretation and administration of policies, programs and HR best practices.
• Provide direct coaching and resources to employees and managers with respect to career development, talent management, compensation, staffing initiatives, performance management and employee relations.
• Develop and manage relevant HR metrics, analyzing, reporting and identifying trends with recommendations provided.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant provincial legislation (Human Rights, Employment Standards) and remain current with HR best practices across Canada.
• Manager relationship with 3rd party benefits broker, be knowledgeable of benefits program structure, recommendations and communications to the employee group
• Assist in identification of training and development needs.
• Develop and facilitate training sessions and/or source and manage appropriate 3rd party providers.
• Conduct internal HR investigations and conflict resolution meetings.
• Create, review and improve existing HR processes, systems and tools tailored to the needs of the evolving business.
• Maintain active involvement in the broader HR community to remain current on emerging trends, legislation and best practices, and apply these insights to support organizational effectiveness.
• Be a Concord National LLP ambassador, who exemplifies our culture in all internal and external communications and interactions.
• Travel

Requirements

• Very limited travel with occasional visits to regional offices.
• The Candidate

Education and Experience

7–10 years progressive HR experience with increasing leadership responsibility.

Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.CHRP designation required or working toward designation.

Experience working in CPG would be a significant asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Sound knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety, Pay Equity, and Privacy legislation.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook etc.)
• Strong leadership skills, particular emphasis on transformational and participatory leadership style
• Ability to self-manage and successfully work autonomously within a group/team environment Ability to manage a high level of detail and changing priorities Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Strong interpersonal skills, empathic and active listening skills
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Sound understanding of financial fundamentals; budget management.
