As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Operations Manager to become the COO’s right-hand leader in the field. Position Overview

The Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all field operations from project startup through final completion. This individual will manage multiple active job sites, support field crews, coordinate logistics, communicate with clients and contractors, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to IHTS quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, leading people, and ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The Field Operations Manager will report directly to the COO and serve as the primary leader of all field operations. This position is responsible for ensuring clear communication between the office and the field, executing company standards, supporting field crews, and maintaining the quality, professionalism, and efficiency that Italian Heritage Tile & Stone is known for.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple active construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Conduct daily jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, and production.
• Coordinate and manage multiple field crews.
• Ensure crews have all required materials, tools, equipment, and information before beginning each phase of work.
• Pick up and deliver materials, tools, equipment, and supplies between vendors, warehouses, and jobsites as needed.
• Attend jobsite meetings with homeowners, general contractors, designers, architects, and project managers.
• Review plans, layouts, elevations, specifications, and installation details with field crews.
• Verify all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and IHTS quality standards.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule, quality, or customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate deliveries, inspections, specialty trades, and material logistics.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate updates, delays, or concerns directly to the COO.
• Perform quality control inspections throughout every phase of construction.
• Complete punch lists and oversee project closeout.
• Document project progress with photos and daily updates.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, designers, and trade partners.
• Ensure company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Assist in training, mentoring, and developing field employees.
• Promote a safe, clean, and professional jobsite environment.
• Represent Italian Heritage Tile & Stone with professionalism, integrity, and accountability at all times.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in construction, tile & stone, remodeling, or a related trade.
• Previous experience leading crews or serving as a foreman is preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential construction practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on active construction sites.
• Comfortable using smartphones, email, scheduling software, and basic computer programs.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and advance within the company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tile and stone installation experience.
• Experience working on high-end residential construction projects.
• OSHA safety knowledge.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

• Competitive pay: $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
