Linux Systems & DevOps Engineer📍 Zurich Region, Switzerland (Hybrid) 📅 Fixed-term Employed position (initially until March 2029 with likelihood of extension)We are currently partnering with a research and technology organisation to recruit a Linux Systems & DevOps Engineer.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative infrastructure team responsible for supporting advanced Linux-based computing platforms used by internationally recognised research programmes. You will work with modern technologies, large-scale compute clusters and automation tools while helping shape the future of a critical technical environment.💻

The Role

You'll become part of an experienced infrastructure team responsible for the operation, improvement and future development of Linux-based computing platforms.

Your responsibilities will include

• 🔹 Managing enterprise Linux infrastructure🔹 Supporting large-scale compute clusters🔹 Automating system administration and deployments🔹 Troubleshooting complex production environments🔹 Working closely with engineers, researchers and technical users🔹 Contributing to future infrastructure improvements and capacity planning---✅ What we are looking for✔ Strong Linux Systems Administration experience✔ Experience managing production Linux environments✔ Experience supporting clustered infrastructure✔ Automation experience (Ansible, Puppet or similar)✔ Bash and/or Python scripting✔ Git✔ Strong troubleshooting skills✔ Excellent communication and teamwork
