Accountant IV (Revenue Accounting)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant IV to help support revenue accounting, financial analysis, and controllership activities. This role is ideal for an analytical accounting professional who enjoys solving complex financial challenges, partnering with business stakeholders, and driving process improvements through automation and technology.

The successful candidate will play a key role in revenue recognition, financial reporting, contract analysis, and a large-scale billing migration initiative while collaborating across finance and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting & Financial Analysis

• Analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate deferred revenue treatment and revenue recognition.
• Perform detailed analysis of profit and loss statements and balance sheets for multiple legal entities.
• Support month-end and financial reporting activities through accurate accounting analysis.
• Assist with general legal entity controllership responsibilities.

Business Partnership

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to evaluate client contract structures and accounting impacts.
• Provide accounting guidance related to revenue recognition and financial reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Projects & Process Improvement

• Serve as a key contributor on a strategic billing migration project.
• Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance reporting and financial insights.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience working within mid- to large-sized organizations.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, revenue accounting, and general ledger concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets using technology tools.

Preferred

• CPA certification.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience supporting internally developed accounting systems.
• Prior billing or revenue operations experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Oracle General Ledger, Sage 50, and AI productivity tools (such as Microsoft Copilot)
