Accounting Analyst III

Our client, a leading organization in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking an Accounting Analyst III to join their team. As an Accounting Analyst III, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting various financial reporting and accounting functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Analyst III

Location: North York, ON or Chatham, ON

Pay Rate: $45/hr

What's the Job?

• Perform complex accounting and research analysis for the finance group.
• Prepare reporting schedules to support quarterly and annual external financial filings and management reports.
• Create and support month-end closing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining, updating, and documenting internal control policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure SOX compliance and resolve accounting issues.

What's Needed?

• University degree in business or accounting.
• Possession of a professional accounting designation (CPA) with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
