About Us

Berkeley Credit is a Mayfair-based, principal bridging lender. We lend our capital offering secured facilities from £50k to £25m on residential, commercial/mixed-use property. We're a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business and this role is central to that growth.

The Role

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to originate new bridging loan business directly — building your own pipeline of borrowers and introducers, qualifying enquiries and driving deals from first contact through to completion alongside our underwriting team.

Responsibilities

• Source and originate new bridging loan enquiries directly, hitting monthly/quarterly origination targets
• Build and manage a network of introducers, brokers and direct borrowers
• Present Berkeley Credit's products clearly and competitively to prospective clients
• Qualify and structure enquiries (loan amount, LTV, exit strategy) before handover to underwriting
• Track the market — competitor pricing, broker sentiment, emerging opportunities
• Represent Berkeley Credit at industry events and networking functions

What we're looking for

• 2–4 years of bridge loan business development experience
• Direct bridge loan origination experience is essential — you must have personally originated bridging finance deals, not just sold into the sector
• Working knowledge of LTV, valuations, exit strategies and short-term lending mechanics
• A track record of hitting or exceeding sales/origination targets
• An existing (even early-stage) network of brokers or introducers is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; comfortable working autonomously in a small, owner-run lender
