The Impact You'll MakeDanfoss in Utica, NY is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead supply chain planning and execution for its liquid-cooling manufacturing and distribution operations. Reporting to the site leadership team, this role is responsible for aligning demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and customer commitments to ensure production continuity and superior delivery performance.

The Supply Chain Manager leads planning, order fulfillment, production scheduling, tactical purchasing, supplier performance management, and inventory optimization activities while supporting site growth, product launches, and business expansion. Success in this role will be measured by customer on-time delivery, material availability, inventory health, supplier performance, and schedule adherence.

What You’ll Be DoingResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead site supply chain planning, order fulfillment, production scheduling, tactical buying, shortage management, supplier follow-up, and inventory performance activities to support manufacturing and distribution objectives.

Ensure material availability supports production schedules, launch milestones, customer commitments, and expedited delivery requirements while balancing inventory investment and service levels.

Drive escalation and recovery processes for supplier delays, material shortages, capacity constraints, backlog concerns, inventory discrepancies, and customer delivery risks.

Maintain and improve key supply chain performance metrics including supplier on-time delivery, schedule adherence, backlog management, inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and shipping performance.

Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, Logistics, and customer-facing teams to ensure production readiness, material flow optimization, and business continuity.

Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand reviews, capacity planning, launch readiness activities, and site operating reviews while communicating supply chain risks and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution supply chain environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier performance management.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting liquid cooling, thermal management, fluid conveyance, automotive, electronics, HVAC/R, industrial products, or high-mix manufacturing operations.
• Experience with S&OP processes, shortage management, supplier escalations, new product introductions, and customer delivery recovery efforts.
• Job Criteria
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP planning logic, production scheduling, inventory control, purchasing execution, and material availability management.
• Ability to analyze demand signals, inventory health, supplier performance, backlog conditions, capacity constraints, and delivery risk indicators to make effective business decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly communicate risks, priorities, and recovery plans across multiple organizational levels.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts involving Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and Sourcing teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance customer service, inventory investment, supplier constraints, and operational priorities.
• Demonstrated success developing teams through coaching, cross-training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of planning parameters, lead times, safety stock methodologies, warehouse operations, transportation processes, and business continuity planning.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $76,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year, based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
