Role Description The Multi-Family Project Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, working three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and two days at home (Monday and Friday). This role oversees multi-family residential projects from concept through construction, coordinating design development, documentation, permitting, and construction administration.

The Project Manager collaborates with internal design teams, consultants, and clients to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and budgets are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing schedules and deliverables, leading project meetings, reviewing drawings and specifications, and resolving design and technical issues.

The role also involves interfacing with city agencies, guiding the permitting process, and supporting sustainable, efficient design solutions that reflect HHJA’s design principles.

Qualifications

• Strong Project Management skills to oversee scope, budget, schedule, and stakeholder communication across multiple projects.
• Skills required to support construction oversight, quality control, and compliance with design intent and codes.
• Skills required to coordinate consultants, resources, and project timelines efficiently.
• Professional degree in Architecture or a related field; licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-family or complex residential projects, ideally in an architectural firm setting.
• Proficiency with architectural design and documentation tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related software).
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities, with the capacity to mentor team members and collaborate across disciplines.
• Working knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes in regional jurisdictions.
