Kalmar is looking for a driven Project Manager to join our Automation Solution Services division. In this critical role, you will lead and manage customer solution projects, ensuring they are delivered within agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards to resolve key customer and business needs.

Compensation Data

• Base Salary: $123k
• Eligible for Annual Bonus
• Eligible for Annual Salary Review & Merit Increase

What Are Your Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead assigned global project teams in Kalmar Process Automation to meet scope, budget, schedule, deliverables, and quality goals according to customer contracts.
• Financial & Resource Management: Maintain financial responsibility for project margins, forecasting costs, managing the WBS structure model, and ensuring on-time invoicing and payments.
• Customer Relations: Manage customer contacts, communication, negotiations, and relationship building while ensuring alignment with Kalmar's expectations.
• Planning & Execution: Prepare comprehensive project plans, establish technical and contractual requirements, and coordinate necessary resources for successful execution.
• Risk & Safety Management: Proactively handle change management, identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Sales & Continuous Improvement: Provide sales support during the project sales phase, collect lessons learned, and share insights globally to continuously develop project management best practices.

What You Bring To The Role

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, alongside fluency in written and spoken English.
• Industry Experience: Proven experience in project management and product development, with a strong background working in the Container Terminal industry and handling large, complex international delivery projects.
• Leadership & Mindset: Strong leadership and management capabilities with an ability to motivate and inspire teams, combined with a business, market, and customer-focused mindset.
• Communication & Problem Solving: Excellent written and oral presentation skills, a proactive, self-driven attitude, and the ability to effectively interact with customers and resolve complex issues.
• Legal & Contractual Knowledge: Basic commercial and business knowledge, including a strong understanding of legal and contractual requirements in project delivery.
• Availability & Safety Commitment: Flexibility to travel internationally and locally between 20% and 30% of the time, along with a strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
