Reconstruction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Reconstruction Project Manager to manage reconstruction projects within the property restoration industry from initial scope through completion. This role is responsible for overseeing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client communication, insurance coordination, quality, and overall project profitability.

The ideal candidate has experience managing insurance-related reconstruction projects and is comfortable working directly with property owners, adjusters, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage reconstruction projects from initial scope through completion
• Review estimates, scopes of work, plans, and project specifications
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure work stays on track
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, foremen, and field personnel
• Interview, select, schedule, and manage subcontractors
• Conduct regular jobsite inspections to monitor progress and quality
• Negotiate scope and pricing with adjusters, consultants, clients, and subcontractors
• Prepare and manage estimates using Xactimate
• Work with adjusters and consultants to reach an agreed scope of work
• Prepare, negotiate, and execute change orders
• Develop project budgets and monitor labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Maintain responsibility for project profitability and margins
• Conduct pre-construction meetings with clients and maintain communication throughout the project
• Identify project benchmarks, material requirements, long-lead items, and potential scheduling issues
• Manage vendors and rental equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
• Resolve production issues and customer concerns throughout the reconstruction process
• Ensure company and OSHA safety requirements are followed on all jobsites
• Serve as a liaison between clients, operations, adjusters, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant project management experience preferred
• Experience within the property restoration/reconstruction industry strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience working with insurance companies, adjusters, and/or consultants
• 3+ years of experience using Xactimate
• Strong understanding of insurance restoration scopes, estimating, supplements, and reconstruction
• Experience managing project budgets, costs, margins, schedules, and subcontractors
• Ability to read and understand plans, scopes, estimates, and construction documents
• OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred, or equivalent industry experience
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

This position requires someone who can anticipate challenges, adjust quickly when circumstances change, and keep projects moving forward without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.

Physical & Working Conditions

This position includes time in both office and active jobsite environments. Candidates should be comfortable regularly visiting jobsites and working in varying conditions.

The role may require standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

How Success Is Measured

Success in this role is measured by the quality of completed projects, project profitability and margins, budget performance, accurate execution of the approved scope of work, timely completion, strong communication with clients and insurance professionals, accurate documentation, customer satisfaction, and consistent adherence to safety requirements.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
