We don't run pilots that go nowhere. Our work has to show up in our clients' P&Ls.

About the Role

We're scaling the AI Practice in 2026 using a city-based squad model, where each squad owns the full client lifecycle in its market.

The Sydney AI PM is the senior delivery and client lead for Sydney. You'll be one of the first into this squad, partnering with the Sydney AI Engineer and AI Data Engineer to deliver as a complete team.

This role is commercial, client-facing and hands-on. You'll shape and close engagements, lead delivery end-to-end, and use AI as your default way of working. Not optional.

What You'll Do

• Shape and close engagements: define the problem, scope the work, structure the commercial model and write the proposal for founder, C-suite and board audiences.
• Lead delivery end-to-end: AI diagnostics, opportunity identification, roadmaps, agent and product builds, transformation programs.
• Run the AI PDLC: discovery, prototyping, evaluation, deployment and iteration for client and internal builds.
• Use AI as your default: prototyping with v0, Lovable, Cursor or equivalent, and automating PM workflows with agents.
• Own senior client relationships: C-suite, founders and boards on your accounts.
• Represent T&G in market: Sydney events, forums and community.
• Build the practice: coach junior squad members, contribute frameworks, playbooks and case studies.
• You'll Be Successful If You…You have a track record in product management, strategy consulting, or technical advisory, with at least two years building and shipping AI-enabled products into production with real users and measurable outcomes.
• You've built agents, and can walk through what you built, the tools and models you used, why you chose them, and the commercial outcome.
• You have commercial instinct: P&L exposure, experience shaping engagements, and confidence quoting work independently.
• You've held the senior seat in C-suite or founder rooms.
• You have discovery fluency: you can run a structured client discovery session independently, mapping the problem, the data landscape and the technical constraints visually in real time.
• You bring stakeholders with you through complexity, and you ask about the data layer before you propose anything.
• You have a track record of measurable commercial outcomes: revenue grown, cost reduced, market entered, product scaled.
• You have the right to work in Australia.
• Nice to Have
• Experience in our target verticals: financial services, retail, professional services, healthcare, government.
• Strategy consulting background (Big 4, MBB, or equivalent) with experience engaging at board or C-suite level.
• Experience working with or within cloud platform ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), particularly in a partner or advisory capacity.
• Existing senior network in the Sydney tech and business community.
• What Success Looks Like
• Three or more end-to-end client engagements led in Sydney with measurable commercial outcomes.
• Squad consistently hitting 50%+ gross margin.
• Strong client NPS and repeat engagement rate.
• At least one framework, playbook or piece of practice IP contributed.
• Sydney squad running with minimal escalation to the AI Practice Lead.
