The Role

Infotrust is looking for a DevOps Engineer who enjoys finding better ways to get work done. Reporting to the Tools and Automation Lead, you’ll identify repetitive and time-intensive tasks across our Service Desk, Engineering and Operations teams, then design and deliver automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve the speed, consistency and reliability of service delivery.

This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership - from understanding the operational problem through to building, deploying and supporting a solution that teams can trust and maintain.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying automation opportunities across L1, L2 and L3 service delivery workflows
• Working directly with engineers and team leaders to understand operational challenges
• Designing and building automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash and workflow automation technologies
• Developing integrations across ITSM, monitoring, security, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Maintaining an automation backlog based on operational impact, efficiency gains and error reduction
• Ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and well documented
• Supporting adoption through documentation, knowledge transfer and ongoing improvement
• Monitoring production automations and refining them as requirements evolve
• Skills & Experience1–2 years’ experience across IT, DevOps, SRE, software engineering, managed services or security operations—or a relevant degree supported by strong practical project experience
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, PowerShell or Bash
• Experience with Git and source-control workflows
• Exposure to Azure and/or AWSFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CIExposure to infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep or ARMUnderstanding of REST APIs and integration patterns
• A practical, curious and delivery-focused approach to problem-solving
• Strong ownership, collaboration and documentation skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365, security tooling, MSP, MSSP or SOC environments will be highly regarded.
• Exposure to AI-assisted automation, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, Copilot, or Azure OpenAI will also be advantageous.
