We are seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Recruiter to join our growing team in Elgin, IL. This individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day recruiting process, supporting hiring needs across the organization, and helping build a strong talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs.

The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and comfortable managing multiple open positions while partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership. Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Recruiting:
• Manage the full recruitment process from job intake through offer acceptance, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring activities.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
• Create and maintain job postings across recruiting platforms and job boards.
• Source active and passive candidates through online platforms, networking, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
• Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, experience, and overall fit.
• Coordinate interviews and communicate feedback between candidates and hiring managers.
• Extend offers and maintain communication with candidates through offer acceptance.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system.
• Candidate Experience & Employer Branding:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, providing timely communication and a positive candidate experience.
• Conduct onsite facility tours for candidates.
• Represent St. Charles Trading at career fairs, networking events, and hiring events.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Recruiting Strategy:
• Support recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions across operations, warehouse, production, quality, office, and leadership roles.
• Partner with leadership to anticipate hiring needs and develop recruiting plans.
• Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, and source effectiveness.
• Recommend improvements to recruiting strategies and hiring processes.
• Stay current on labor market trends and recruiting best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably managing the full-cycle recruiting process.
• Strong interviewing, sourcing, and candidate evaluation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and prioritize competing deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and recruiting platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting for manufacturing, food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or operations positions preferred.
• Experience recruiting both hourly and salaried employees.
• Experience sourcing candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other recruiting tools.
• Experience participating in career fairs, hiring events, and other recruiting initiatives.

Working Conditions

Primarily onsite, office-based position with occasional time spent in warehouse and production areas.

Regular interaction with employees, candidates, and hiring managers across multiple departments.

Ability to conduct onsite facility tours and spend time within production and warehouse environments.

Must comply with food safety and workplace safety requirements when entering operational areas.
