Staff Accountant

Overview

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing, analyzing, and assisting with all financial activities as it relates to the business and its operations.

Duties

• Assist and execute month end closing procedures
• Effectively manage and assist with account reconciliations
• In depth account analysis and review of company accounts and its subsidiaries
• Prepare, review, and execute commission statements
• Preparation and review of journal entries
• Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues efficiently
• Prepare budgets, monitor financial performance, and assist with account analysis for management review
• Assist with preparation of monthly and weekly financial statements
• Assistance and support in year end reporting requirements
• Assist with any required auditing
• Additional reporting and tasks as assigned.

Experience

• Preference will be given to applicants who are CPA certified, or pursuing their CPA designation
• Must thrive working both independently and in a team based atmosphere
• Strong excel and related MS Office skills.
• Strong problem solver with a good analytical background.

• Strong Attention to Detail
• Familiarity with corporate finance principles and financial services operations
• Ability to perform detailed account analysis and support month-end closing activities
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy in data entry and reporting

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
