Vacancies: 1Application Deadline: 08/09/2026BASIC FUNCTIONReporting to the Manager of Recruitment and HR Services, the Supervisor of Recruitment and Compensation coordinates the delivery of recruitment, selection, onboarding, offboarding, and compensation-related human resources services. This position provides day-to-day supervision and guidance to support effective operations within these functional areas.
The role applies well-developed HR knowledge and experience to advise management and employees on human resources matters and ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, collective agreement, and applicable legislation.PRINCIPAL
Administer the County’s Job Evaluation (JE) process for union and non-union positions, including coordinating position reviews and evaluations across departments.
Support compensation studies by gathering relevant data from comparable municipalities and assisting in the preparation of analysis, in coordination with the Manager of Recruitment and HR Services and/or Director of HR.Research and report on compensation best practices to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Training and DevelopmentCoordinate the development, maintenance, and delivery of training related to compensation, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities, as required.
Supervisory experience is an asset.
Working knowledge of human resources information systems (HRIS) and payroll systems; experience with SAP SuccessFactors, JD Edwards, and Kronos is an asset.
Compensation administration, job evaluation, and pay equity experience is preferred.
Experience supporting HR systems administration, reporting, or process improvement initiatives is an asset.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pay Equity Act, and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.A valid driver’s licence (minimum G2 Class) and access to a reliable vehicle.
$109,090.80 - $127,600.20 (2026 Non-Union Compensation Grid)
Extended Health Care, Emergency Travel Assistance, Dental Care; mandatory enrolment, premiums 100% covered.
Pension: As a non-full-time (NFT) employee of an OMERS employer, you are eligible to elect to join the OMERS Pension Plan at any time. Enrollment in OMERS is voluntary.
Medical Responsibility Time: Prorated and accrues at 1 day/month.
Vacation: Accrues to start at three weeks/annum; increases based on length of service.
Parking: Provided; taxable benefit provisions apply.
Mileage: If applicable, as per CRA allowances.
