Senior Product Manager – Braeburn Brand
Location: Lewisville, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Braeburn is a trusted HVAC controls brand providing dependable, contractor-focused comfort solutions for residential and light-commercial applications. Its current portfolio includes mechanical, non-programmable, programmable, hydronic, wireless and Wi-Fi thermostats; BlueLink applications and connected products; forced-air zoning panels and dampers; remote sensors; and installation accessories.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to take end-to-end ownership of the entire Braeburn product portfolio and brand. This is not a single-product role. You will own product strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, positioning, pricing, profitability and successful commercialization across all Braeburn product categories.
You will serve as the voice of the customer and the central link between contractors, distributors, sales, engineering, operations, quality, marketing and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the complete Braeburn portfolio, including:
- Builder, Economy and Premier thermostats
- BlueLink Wi-Fi, wireless products, apps and connected services
- Hydronic thermostats and controls
- Forced-air zoning panels, dampers and accessories
- Sensors, wall plates, guards and installation accessories
- Develop and maintain the three-to-five-year product roadmap, including new products, platform upgrades, cost reductions and product retirements.
- Conduct contractor, distributor, OEM and end-user research to identify unmet needs and translate them into clear product requirements.
- Lead products from concept through business case, specifications, development, testing, launch and post-launch improvement.
- Create competitive strategies against Resideo/Honeywell Home, Emerson/White-Rodgers, Pro1, ecobee, Google Nest and other HVAC control brands.
- Own product pricing, cost targets, margin improvement, sales forecasts, inventory assumptions and portfolio profitability.
- Simplify the portfolio by identifying product gaps, duplication, obsolete models and opportunities for common hardware or software platforms.
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to manage technical requirements, quality, certifications, reliability and product cost.
- Lead product launches, including positioning, messaging, packaging, literature, training, sales tools and distributor readiness.
- Support sales teams and key customers with technical presentations, product selection, competitive cross-references and major opportunities.
- Track product performance, warranty trends, customer feedback, app performance and corrective actions.
- Protect and strengthen the Braeburn brand by ensuring every product delivers contractor-friendly installation, dependable performance and strong value.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience in HVAC controls, thermostats, building controls, electrical controls or closely related products.
- Demonstrated ownership of a physical-product portfolio from strategy through commercialization.
- Strong understanding of conventional HVAC, heat pumps, dual-fuel systems, hydronics, forced-air zoning and low-voltage controls.
- Experience working with contractors, HVAC distributors, wholesalers, OEMs or representative channels.
- Ability to develop business cases, pricing strategies, forecasts and product profitability analysis.
- Strong customer-facing, analytical, technical and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing or a related field.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, field research, trade shows and supplier meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Wi-Fi thermostats, mobile applications, cloud-connected products or IoT platforms.
- Knowledge of HVAC product certifications, regulatory requirements and contractor installation practices.
- Experience managing international engineering or manufacturing partners.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
What Success Looks Like
- A clearly prioritized and commercially grounded product roadmap.
- Faster and more disciplined new-product launches.
- Improved revenue, gross margin and market share.
- A simplified, competitive portfolio with fewer product gaps.
- Strong contractor and distributor preference for the Braeburn brand.
- Clear ownership and accountability for every product throughout its lifecycle.
