Senior Software Engineer - Capital Markets (Options Execution) - $175,000 - $225,000 +bonus!

Interested in joining an options execution firm that's backed by some of the most successful hedge funds in Chicago? As a Senior Software Engineer, you can be building real-time options execution systems from the ground up.

This is a small, lean team. That means your code ships, your decisions matter, and you're not waiting six months for someone else to approve your work. You own real systems and real client relationships from early on, and as the firm grows, your scope grows with it.

You are working directly with a Principal Engineer on the architecture of the platform, writing C++ and Python for systems where latency and uptime are everything. You are also the kind of engineer who picks up AI-assisted development tools, uses them well, and naturally raises the bar for the people around you.

You are comfortable talking to clients and you understand that the relationship between engineering and execution is close here.

You will need to have strong, practical experience in C++ and Python, and you have built and supported Linux-based production systems that cannot go down. You have worked in financial services, execution services, or somewhere else where latency is not a nice-to-have.

You have shipped tested, maintainable code in production and you have the track record to show it. You are proactive, you take ownership, and you do not wait to be told what needs fixing.

Salary: $175,000-$225,000
