We're looking for a Software Engineer to help modernise one of Confluence's most important products while bringing emerging AI capabilities into production.

This is not a maintenance role.

As part of our Software Engineering team, you'll work across a large-scale product ecosystem used by investment management firms around the world. You'll help develop modern services, improve platform capabilities and build AI-powered solutions using technologies such as LLMs and agent-based workflows.

You'll have the opportunity to integrate AI capabilities into production software, exploring how LLMs and intelligent workflows can deliver value to real users.

Rather than being tied to a single component, you'll contribute across a wider product ecosystem, gaining exposure to different technologies, teams and challenges.

You'll join a collaborative engineering culture where knowledge sharing, mentoring and continuous learning are part of everyday work.

• Developing applications and services using .NET and C#
• Designing and building RESTful APIs
• Contributing to scalable, modern software architecture
• Collaborating with engineers, product managers, QA and other stakeholders
• Exploring and implementing AI-powered development and product capabilities
• Improving development practices, tooling and engineering quality
• Contributing to modern DevOps and CI/CD approaches

What skills and experience do I need to succeed?

• Professional experience developing software with .NET and C#
• Experience building RESTful APIs and service-oriented applications
• Understanding of software design patterns and scalable architecture
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Curiosity about AI and an interest in applying it to software engineering challenges
• Approximately 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Azure or other cloud platform experience
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Python for automation or AI-related workflows
• Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering or agentic systems
• Containerisation technologies
• Experience building developer productivity tools
