Role Description

The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Auckland and is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of BC Group. This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Day-to-day tasks include monitoring cash flow, preparing management accounts and financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and overseeing payroll and expense processes. The Finance Manager collaborates with leadership to develop financial plans, analyze performance against budgets, and implement controls that safeguard company assets.

The role also involves working with external auditors, optimizing financial systems and processes, and providing clear financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, management accounts, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and local regulations.
• Experience managing accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, and general ledger processes within a small to medium-sized business.
• Ability to improve and maintain financial systems, controls, and procedures, including familiarity with accounting software and ERP tools.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
• Previous experience in the construction, property, or compliance services sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
