Client Sales Manager

Position Summary

The Client Sales Manager (CSM) plays a critical role in maintaining and expanding relationships with key clients in the petroleum and oil industry. This individual ensures clients receive maximum value from our products and services, supports long-term partnerships, and identifies sales opportunities for account growth.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of operations and is skilled in relationship management, communication, and strategic account planning. This position also collaborates with other departments as needed to carry out key initiatives, align strategies with executive management's vision, and provide leadership consistent with PTL's values.

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients post-sale, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
• Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and partner with sales on execution.
• Understand clients' operational goals and align company services/products to meet those needs.
• Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions with key accounts.
• Collaborate with sales, technical, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and issue resolution.
• Monitor client health metrics, usage trends, and satisfaction scores to proactively address risks and opportunities.
• Manage contract renewals, extensions, and negotiations in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
• Serve as the client's advocate internally, providing feedback to product and service teams based on customer experience.
• Develop account plans and retention strategies to ensure long-term success and customer loyalty.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and generate reports on account status, satisfaction, and growth potential.

Minimum Requirements

• 3-7 years of client-facing experience in the oil, gas, or industrial services sector preferred.
• Strong understanding of petroleum operations (upstream, midstream, or downstream preferred).
• Exceptional relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (domestic and international).
• Must drive a minimum of 5k miles annually to be eligible for Motus.
• Valid and current driver's license.
• Have and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
