Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Compliance Officer role based in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Abu Dhabi. The Compliance Officer will oversee day-to-day compliance activities, including monitoring adherence to ADGM regulations, internal policies, and international standards relevant to VaR Capital’s advisory and asset management services.

Responsibilities include reviewing and updating compliance frameworks, conducting risk assessments, performing compliance checks on transactions and client onboarding, and preparing regulatory reports and filings. The role also involves providing guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory changes, supporting internal audits, and delivering training to promote a strong compliance culture across the organization.

The individual will collaborate closely with senior management and business teams to ensure that operations remain compliant and well-documented.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, particularly within ADGM or similar financial regulatory environments.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to assess risks, review transactions, and interpret regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication abilities to interact with regulators, internal stakeholders, and clients.
• Relevant experience in financial services, such as asset management, investment banking, or debt finance, is highly beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications in compliance or risk management (e.g., ICA, CAMS) are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and uphold high ethical standards in a regulated environment.
