Quantity Surveyor (QS)

About the Role

Five Stars Management and Quality Consultant (FSMQC) is looking for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity surveying, measurement, valuation, cost-related documentation, reporting, inspections, and related commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantity surveying and measurement activities for construction works.
• Prepare and review quantity take-offs, measurements, and quantity-related documentation.
• Support valuation and cost management activities.
• Review project quantities, work progress, and relevant supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and verification of valuations and cost-related reports.
• Conduct site inspections and verify completed works where required.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, measurements, and project documentation.
• Support project teams with cost-related information and commercial reporting.
• Review relevant project documents and provide professional quantity surveying advice.
• Monitor and report on quantity and cost-related matters.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to obtain necessary information and supporting documents.
• Ensure all assigned quantity surveying activities are performed professionally and in accordance with project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Experience with major infrastructure or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, measurement, valuation, and cost management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant quantity surveying or project management software.
• Strong analytical, numerical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Candidates available to work in Abu Dhabi are preferred.
