Safety Officer - Construction Industry

​ We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the UAE. This role is crucial for ensuring the well-being of our workers and maintaining a safe and compliant worksite.

​Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations on site.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and report unsafe acts/conditions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to workers and supervisors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain all HSE documentation and reports as per regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with site management and subcontractors to promote a safe work culture.
• Ensure workers use correct PPE and follow proper safety protocols.
• Liaise with authorities during site inspections or audits.

​Qualifications & Requirements

​Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

​Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer within the construction industry in Main Contracting Company in the UAE, preferably in Abu Dhabi

​Certifications

​NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) is a mandatory requirement.

​Knowledge of ADPHC/OSHAD standards is essential.

​Additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid) are highly desirable.

​Skills

​Strong knowledge of construction safety principles and best practices.

​Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate personnel at all levels.

​A keen eye for detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

​Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

​Ability to work independently and under pressure.

​Other

​A valid UAE driving license is a plus.
