Chef – Menu Development & Café Kitchen

Shelves Café is looking for a creative and experienced Chef to join our team and help develop and lead our new food menu.

We are creating a small, focused café menu with a modern European and Mediterranean influence. The menu will include breakfast dishes, a small selection of sweet items, and simple all-day dishes such as bowls, salmon, chicken, and meat-based options.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a focused menu of approximately 8–12 dishes Create, test, and finalize recipes Prepare standardized recipe and portioning cards Calculate food costs and support menu pricing Ensure dishes are suitable for a compact café kitchen Create simple, attractive, and consistent plating standards Support ingredient and supplier selection Set up kitchen preparation and daily production procedures Train the kitchen team on recipes and food standards Maintain food quality and consistency after menu launch

We are looking for someone creative but practical, with a strong understanding of modern café food. The ideal candidate should be able to create dishes that are visually appealing, taste excellent, and can be consistently executed by a small kitchen team.

Experience in modern cafés, breakfast concepts, Mediterranean or European cuisine is preferred.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
