CHAWA Café is a Japanese-inspired specialty café offering premium matcha, hojicha, and authentic Japanese tea-based beverages. Our menu celebrates Japanese craftsmanship with a modern twist, featuring ceremonial-grade teas, artisanal sweets, and signature creations like the Matcha Cloud Series and handcrafted dessert pairings.

We are looking for a versatile, passionate, and detail-oriented Waitress + Barista to deliver a high-quality guest experience. You will play a dual role—crafting exceptional Japanese tea and coffee beverages behind the bar while providing warm, attentive service on the floor.

Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage & Bar Duties

• Prepare and serve ceremonial-grade matcha, hojicha, specialty teas, and coffee beverages following exact recipe and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and specialized tea preparation equipment safely and hygienically.

Floor & Guest Service Duties

• Greet and welcome guests with genuine hospitality that reflects our brand values.
• Take accurate orders, provide knowledgeable menu recommendations, and guide guests through our Japanese tea offerings.
• Serve beverages and artisanal sweets efficiently while ensuring pristine presentation.
• Keep tables clean, reset, and organized to maintain a comfortable dining atmosphere.
• Process bills and accurately handle cash-less/card transactions.
• Assist with opening/closing checklists, stock monitoring, and general café maintenance.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista, waitress, or all-rounder in a café or specialty beverage environment preferred.
• Strong interest or willingness to learn about Japanese tea culture, ceremonial matcha, and café beverage techniques.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team setting with a strong attention to detail.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
