Senior Legal Researcher

Job Summary

Jobs at this level are responsible for providing paralegal services to lawyers including investigating facts, preparing legal documents and researching legal precedent to support legal proceedings, legal studies or other investigations.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepares legal documents, including briefs, contracts, agreements, pleadings and appeals and files pleadings with court clerk, if required.
• Prepares affidavits and organizes and maintains documents in paper or electronic filing system.
• Completes various forms, such as accident reports, trials and courtroom requests and applications for internal STC customers.
• Collects and analyses research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents and submits the report to lawyers.
• Coordinates with relevant sectors – Network, IT and Information Center to collect and analyze information not available in the ICMS system.
• Assists in analyzing the data regarding studies about new rules and regulations issued by government authorities.
• Collects data regarding investigations of violations committed by company employees in the regions and reports it to the senior management.
• Examines employee legal cases before granting housing loans.
• Follows Legal Affairs policies and procedures and ensures that the assigned tasks are carried out consistently.
• Executes work as per agreed stages and timescales of the overall project to achieve the required results.

Qualifications

Master or Bachelor’s degree in law or any other related majors.

Years of Experience

A minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant experience.

Nature of Experience

Prior experience in corporate legal roles area.

• Basic proficiency in legal documentation – drafting of legal contracts and agreements
• Basic proficiency in legal procedures and regulations of the court
• Basic proficiency in telecom regulation
• Basic proficiency in research and legal studies
• Advance proficiency in English language
