Electrical Engineer

mselect is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer for a facilities management company in Riyadh, KSA. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance and facility management.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will oversee all electrical systems and installations within the assigned facilities. The role involves managing, supervising, and inspecting contractors and service providers to ensure all electrical operations, maintenance, and projects comply with safety standards, statutory regulations, and client requirements.

The engineer will play a key role in maintaining system reliability and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect the electrical maintenance service provider to ensure compliance with project specifications, SLAs, and safety standards
• Plan and implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for all electrical systems, including LV/HV panels, generators, UPS, and lighting systems
• Review and verify electrical installation drawings, reports, and test certificates
• Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules and KPIs
• Support in preparing technical reports, asset condition assessments, and energy-saving recommendations
• Coordinate shutdown activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory bodies such as Civil Defence, SEC, and SASO for all electrical works
• Provide technical support for new installations, modifications, and upgrades to electrical infrastructure
• Support in material requisitions, spare part inventories, and maintenance documentation
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems within overall FM operations
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and participate in audits and inspections

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; SCE registration is preferred.

Required Experience & Work Environment

• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance and facility management
• Experience in managing contractors within government or high-profile facilities is preferred
• Ability to lead field teams, prioritise workloads, and maintain composure under pressure
• Flexibility to attend site emergencies and perform inspections as required
• Strong ethical and professional conduct with attention to confidentiality and protocol

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and standards applicable to FM operations
• Familiarity with CAFM systems, maintenance planning, and asset lifecycle management
• Experience in supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and reporting skills
• Working knowledge of Saudi regulations and codes related to electrical works and safety
• Effective communication and coordination abilities across multiple stakeholders and contractors
