Maintenance Engineer - LPG Systems

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer - LPG Systems for our client based in Dubai, UAE.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of centralized LPG systems across residential, commercial, and retail properties. The role involves managing maintenance activities, contractor performance, technical compliance, customer support, and tendering processes in line with UAE Fire Code, Civil Defense regulations, and NFPA standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Operations
• Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of centralized LPG systems.
• Manage work orders through Maximo and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Conduct site inspections to verify maintenance quality and system integrity.
• Coordinate emergency gas supply requirements and contractor activities.2.
• Technical & Compliance
• Review technical drawings and support Civil Defense approvals.
• Conduct inspections, commissioning, and system handovers.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Fire Code, NFPA standards, and safety regulations.
• Investigate system failures and prepare root cause analysis reports.3.
• Tendering & Contract Management
• Prepare scopes of work, tender documentation, and AMC contracts.
• Evaluate contractors and vendors, including technical and commercial assessments.
• Support sales teams with technical submissions and cost estimates.4.
• Customer & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the main point of contact for maintenance and technical support.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and business partners to ensure service excellence.
• Manage escalated requests, customer complaints, and quotation preparation.5.
• Financial & Administrative
• Support budgeting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.
• Monitor contractor performance, service levels, and safety compliance.
• Ensure accurate LPG metering data for customer billing.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in LPG systems, installations, or LPG plant operations.
• Proficiency in Auto
• CAD for reviewing and modifying technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of UAE LPG regulations, UAE Fire Code, NFPA standards, and Civil Defense requirements.
• Civil Defense certification/card is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Maximo, and ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
