About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Product Engineer, based in Dammam. The Product Engineer is an entry-level engineering role responsible for supporting design development, product documentation, technical analysis, and product engineering activities across the company’s Oil & Gas product portfolio.

The role assists senior engineers in preparing drawings, calculations, technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable API, international, and customer-specific requirements.

The position works under supervision and in close coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure engineering information is accurate, controlled, and effectively translated into manufacturing and customer support activities.

By developing technical capability, supporting product improvement, and maintaining strong attention to detail, this role contributes to reliable, cost-effective, and standards-compliant products while building the knowledge required for future engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities Including but not limited to:-

Design Support & Product Engineering

• Assist in preparing and updating engineering drawings, 3D models, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, and technical documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design development activities for gate valves, hammer unions, OCTG products, API product lines, and wireline tools as assigned.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, design checks, and document reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness before senior-level review.
• Assist in compiling Design Verification Reports (DVRs), test records, and product qualification documentation in line with applicable standards.
• Maintain controlled engineering files, product data, revision records, and technical registers in accordance with internal document control requirements.

Technical Support & Customer Requirements

• Assist in reviewing customer enquiries, specifications, datasheets, and technical requirements to identify basic engineering information and clarification points.
• Support the preparation of technical inputs for quotations, proposals, product datasheets, catalogues, and application guidelines.
• Coordinate with senior engineers to respond to technical clarifications from Commercial, Quality, Manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
• Record lessons learned, technical observations, and customer-specific requirements for future reference and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Coordination with Operations

• Support Manufacturing by providing accurate drawings, BOMs, route card inputs, and technical clarifications after review by senior engineering personnel.
• Coordinate with Procurement to provide material specifications, technical data, and supplier documentation requirements as directed.
• Assist Quality in preparing inspection references, test requirements, and traceability documentation for engineering-related records.
• Participate in internal discussions related to non-conformances, corrective actions, and manufacturing feedback to understand root causes and support improvement actions.

Standards Awareness & Compliance Support

• Develop working knowledge of API 6A, 16A, 16C, 5CT, 5B, ISO, ASME, NACE, and relevant customer specifications applicable to assigned products.
• Support audit preparation by compiling engineering records, design files, test reports, and traceability documents as required.
• Participate in internal and external audit activities as a supporting team member when assigned.
• Follow approved engineering procedures, document control practices, and quality management system requirements.

Learning, Improvement & Team Contribution

• Actively learn product design principles, manufacturing processes, material selection, testing requirements, and product application practices.
• Contribute ideas for improving drawings, documentation accuracy, process efficiency, and engineering data quality.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative approach while working with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 0 – 2 years of proven experience in product engineering, design development, and technical support within an Oil & Gas manufacturing, service, and repair environment.
• Knowledge of gate valve components (gate, seat, stem, body, bonnet, packing systems) and hammer union products.
• Understanding of OCTG products, connections, and threading standards (API 5CT, 5B, and premium connections).
