As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo Operations Team in Doha as Senior Cargo Data Analyst.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for building data content (data product and dashboards) for specific stakeholder portfolio, work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify trends and patterns within data sets, and contribute to company-wide data initiatives.

In addition, the role will contribute to analyzing complex data sets, developing insightful dashboards, developing predictive models and providing data-driven insights to senior management through dashboards and presentations.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Oversee data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to identify trends and patterns in large data sets.
• Design and implement data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate key insights and metrics.
• Support the implementation of ETL processes, data models, and data pipelines to ensure data is clean, accurate, and available.
• Address requests and users’ stories for development of new dashboards and/or enhancing/changing existing ones in order to develop analytical tools that fully satisfy needs of all commercial stakeholders involved
• Document findings, develop executive summaries, and present recommendations to senior management. Work closely with cross- functional teams for data engineering, quality assurance, and performance analysis.
• Effectively communicate with all stakeholders’ major updates and news concerning creation of new dataset, development of new dashboards, new analytical enhancements, system fault, etc.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the team is up to date with the latest analytical and data management techniques.
• Support the deployment of effective training programs, both face-to-face and virtual targeting the whole commercial departments aiming at upgrade analytical and technical skills of the organization.
• Work closely with the Technical Team to ensure optimal performance of the analytical platform.

Qualification

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a data analysis role.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in data mining, statistical modelling, and predictive analytics.
• Proficient in SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages.
• Advanced data visualization skills, with proficiency in tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or QlikView
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management
