Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Saubita Technology & Digital Solutions W.L.L. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead software-development teams, oversee technical delivery, and ensure the successful design and implementation of scalable digital products.

The successful candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with people leadership, project management, and technical strategy to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software engineers, technical leads, and development teams
• Oversee the complete software-development lifecycle, from planning to deployment
• Define engineering standards, coding practices, architecture principles, and delivery processes
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, cybersecurity, and business teams
• Review system architecture, technical designs, code quality, and performance
• Manage project roadmaps, priorities, resources, budgets, and delivery schedules
• Implement Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release-management practices
• Ensure software security, scalability, reliability, and regulatory compliance
• Monitor engineering KPIs, system performance, technical debt, and operational risks
• Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and develop high-performing engineering professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development and engineering leadership
• Proven experience managing software teams and complex digital projects
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and distributed systems
• Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and version-control systems
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or comparable platforms
• Qatar or GCC technology-sector experience is preferred
