About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer with a strong background in fit-out and civil works to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid technical knowledge of construction materials and finishing works, hands-on experience pricing fit-out projects, and an established network of suppliers in the Qatari market.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for fit-out and civil works projects.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing for fit-out packages, including materials, labor, and logistics.
• Handle material selection and specification for finishing works, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
• Manage procurement for all civil and finishing works, including:
• Painting & putty/gypsum works
• Tiling & flooring (tiles, marble, porcelain, etc.)
• Wood works (joinery, doors, cabinets, cladding)
• False ceilings & gypsum board works
• Partitions, glazing, and glass works
• MEP-related materials coordination (as needed)
• Compare vendor quotations and ensure best value for money without compromising quality.
• Prepare and maintain BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and material take-offs for fit-out projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Track market prices and trends for construction/fit-out materials in Qatar.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely material delivery.
• Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the Qatari construction/fit-out market (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of fit-out materials: paint, putty, tiles, wood, gypsum, ceilings, and general civil finishing works.
• Proven experience pricing fit-out projects and preparing competitive quotations.
• Established relationships with local suppliers and material vendors in Qatar.
• Valid Qatari Driving License (mandatory).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/finishing drawings and BOQs.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
