Warehouse Team Leader

Job Summary

The store has a wide range of beverages that can be purchased by licensed hotels and qualifying private individuals. They offer a wide range of beverages and a permit is needed to make a purchase.

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible to ensure rapid, efficient and safe movement and storage of stock according to desired temperatures so that it is in the right place at the right time to maximize sales opportunities whilst maintaining highest quality of the stocks and minimising stock shortages, breakages and other materials handling costs.

You will assist the Warehouse Officer in SOP implementation, container receiving, planning, effective resources organisation whilst briefing the team on forward plans and periodical safety briefing. You will also be responsible for handling operations in a satellite warehouse without supervision whenever needed

You will also be responsible for, but not limited to

• Ensuring proper pallet labelling and picking of stocks is in accordance with expiry dates and vintages in order to minimize stock losses.
• Ensuring all stock receipts are correctly recorded in the GRNs to eliminate errors in inventory; expiry dates of each product are thoroughly checked and promptly recorded in the GRN's to prevent stock write-off oppurtunities, stocks are palletised safely in accordance with company guidelines; correctly labelled and bar coded; correctly stored in agreed locations and correctly handled to minimize breakges.
• Provide attention to warehouse equipment maintenance by service providers on a timely manner to ensure all equipment are in good condition and causing no operational disruptions due to lack of maintenance.

About You

To be eligible for this role you must have relevant vocational, tertiary or trade qualification with minimum 3 years of relevant experience, operating warehouse equipment. You must be proficient in spoken and written English, with knowledge of warehouse procedures such as stacking, storage, climate control standards for alcohol and chilled & frozen food.

A safety first attitude is essential with good experience and knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the use of PPE. You must also possess strong interpersonal & man-management skills, able to handle multi tasks under pressure situation and well versed in computer application such as Microsoft excel, word etc. Prior experience in alcohol logistics, marine insurance process is an added advantage.

Qatar Driving license for light duty vehicles will be an advantage but is not essential.
