We are looking for a Staff Nurse II who can provide direct nursing care while supporting the daily clinical operations of the assigned department. You will work closely with physicians, senior nurses, nursing assistants and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care.
This role is suited to an experienced nurse who can manage patient needs independently, respond calmly to changing clinical situations and contribute to a supportive care environment. You will also assist junior nursing staff, maintain accurate records and ensure that clinical procedures are followed consistently.
Patient Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, record vital signs and identify changes that require clinical attention.
Direct Nursing Care: Provide safe and appropriate nursing care according to treatment plans, clinical instructions and established procedures.
Medication Administration: Prepare and administer prescribed medications while following dosage, identification and documentation requirements.
Clinical Procedures: Perform approved nursing procedures such as wound care, specimen collection, intravenous therapy and patient monitoring.
Care Planning: Contribute to individual patient care plans and update nursing interventions based on the patient’s condition and progress.
Patient Monitoring: Observe patients for changes in symptoms, treatment response or overall condition and report concerns promptly.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate nursing notes, medication records, care plans and patient observations.
Patient Education: Explain treatments, medications, discharge instructions and basic health management information to patients and their families.
Emergency Response: Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies and support resuscitation or urgent care procedures when required.
Infection Control: Follow infection prevention, hand hygiene, isolation and clinical waste disposal procedures.
Team Coordination: Work closely with physicians, nurses and allied healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care.
Junior Staff Support: Guide junior nurses, nursing assistants and newly appointed team members during daily clinical activities.
Equipment Management: Check nursing equipment and clinical supplies and report shortages, faults or maintenance requirements.
Experience: At least 3 years of professional nursing experience in a hospital, clinic or other recognised healthcare setting.
Education: Bachelor degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognised educational institution.
Professional Licensing: Valid nursing licence or eligibility to obtain the professional licence required for clinical practice in Qatar.
Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of patient assessment, medication administration, infection control and nursing care procedures.
Patient Care Skills: Ability to provide compassionate, respectful and culturally sensitive care to patients with different healthcare needs.
Emergency Awareness: Ability to recognise signs of patient deterioration and respond appropriately during urgent clinical situations.
Documentation: Strong attention to detail when maintaining nursing records, medication charts and patient care information.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, support staff and other healthcare professionals.
Communication: Clear and professional communication skills when dealing with patients, families and clinical colleagues.
Organisation: Ability to prioritise patient needs, manage several responsibilities and remain effective during busy shifts.
Professional Conduct: Strong commitment to patient confidentiality, ethical practice and safe clinical care.
Availability: Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays and night schedules when required.
Pay: QAR85,000.00 - QAR92,000.00 per year
