Arabic Female - IVF Nurse

Job Summary

The Arabic Female IVF Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and support to patients undergoing fertility treatments and assisted reproductive procedures.

The role involves coordinating patient care throughout the IVF journey, assisting physicians during clinical procedures, educating patients on treatment protocols, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and infection control standards.

The incumbent will also serve as a liaison between patients and the multidisciplinary fertility team, providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing fertility assessment and assisted reproductive treatments.
• Assist fertility specialists during consultations, ultrasound examinations, egg retrieval procedures, embryo transfers, hysteroscopies, and other reproductive procedures.
• Prepare patients before, during, and after IVF-related procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications, including hormonal injections and other fertility-related treatments.
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications and report findings promptly to the physician.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as required.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, pregnancy testing, and other nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all patient assessments, treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.

Patient Education and Coordination

• Educate patients regarding IVF treatment plans, medication administration, follow-up appointments, and lifestyle recommendations.
• Demonstrate self-administration techniques for fertility medications when required.
• Coordinate patient appointments, investigations, laboratory requirements, and treatment schedules.
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide emotional support throughout the fertility treatment process.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Coordinate with laboratory personnel, embryologists, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure availability of clinical supplies, medications, and consumables within the IVF unit.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental audits.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain treatment logs.

Infection Prevention and Quality

• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Participate in continuing education and competency assessments.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in an IVF, Fertility, Women's Health, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) setting is preferred.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR10,370.00 per month
