Job Overview

We are a leading Grade A Contracting Company in Qatar seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our team for a major Kahramaa Potable Water Transmission Pipeline Project.

The selected candidates will be responsible for supervising ductile iron (DI) pipeline installation works, coordinating testing and commissioning activities, and ensuring all mechanical works are executed in compliance with Kahramaa specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in potable water transmission pipelines, infrastructure works, and utility projects. Candidates with previous Kahramaa project experience in Qatar will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of ductile iron (DI) pipelines, valves, fittings, and associated mechanical works.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with Kahramaa specifications, project drawings, approved procedures, and QA/QC requirements.
• Coordinate with Civil, QA/QC, Survey, Planning, and HSE teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise hydrostatic testing, flushing, disinfection, and commissioning of potable water transmission pipelines.
• Monitor daily site activities, manpower, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction while maintaining project schedules.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and support project documentation.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in potable water transmission pipeline or infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience in ductile iron (DI) pipeline installation, valves, fittings, and related infrastructure works.
• Good knowledge of hydrostatic testing, flushing, disinfection, and pipeline commissioning.
• Strong understanding of Kahramaa standards, project specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
• Previous experience on Kahramaa or major infrastructure utility projects in Qatar is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
