Job Vacancy – Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
Location: Doha, Qatar
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our professional project delivery team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the landscape and construction industry, with a proven track record in managing large-scale and prestigious projects from tendering through to final account settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documents for construction and landscape projects based on architectural, structural, MEP, and landscape drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quantity take-offs for civil works, hardscape, softscape, irrigation, architectural finishes, joinery, MEP, and specialist works.
- Lead the complete tendering and bidding process, including RFQ review, pricing, bid analysis, negotiation, and timely submission of tenders.
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, technical specifications, and supplier quotations to ensure accurate project costing and compliance.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor expenditures, and track costs against approved forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure proper scope alignment.
- Draft, review, and administer subcontract agreements while safeguarding the company's commercial and contractual interests.
- Coordinate material procurement schedules and project requirements with engineering, procurement, and site teams.
- Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, variation orders, extension of time claims, and final accounts with supporting documentation.
- Manage subcontractor payment certificates and monitor project cash flow and cost control measures.
- Produce regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial dashboards for management review.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, provide value engineering solutions, and assess commercial and contractual risks at an early stage.
- Prepare RFIs, manage technical clarifications, and participate in pre-contract and post-contract meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate a smooth handover of awarded projects to the Project Management team by reviewing drawings, budgets, procurement schedules, and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, estimating databases, and records using relevant software and company systems.
- Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, health and safety requirements, and project specifications for both construction and landscape projects..
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in landscape and construction projects in the GCC.
- Proven experience in handling large-scale and prestigious projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimating software.
- Ability to join immediately.
- Valid QID with transferable sponsorship (NOC).
- Candidates currently based in Qatar will be given preference.
