About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Investment Analyst to join a private investment office managing a concentrated, high-conviction technology portfolio with an active options strategy.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the Principal and Senior Portfolio & Options Risk Analyst, contributing to investment research, portfolio monitoring, derivatives operations, and idea generation across global markets. Your research will directly influence investment decisions and be tested against real capital in real time.

Bahraini Nationals are strongly preferred and will be given priority. Exceptional candidates of other nationalities with directly relevant experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality investment ideas across sectors including technology, AI, semiconductors, defense, energy, commodities, and macroeconomics.
• Prepare investment research covering opportunities, risks, valuation, and key catalysts.
• Produce daily market briefings summarizing overnight market developments, macro events, and portfolio updates.
• Monitor portfolio positions, options activity, Greeks, and margin utilization.
• Reconcile trades and maintain accurate investment records and internal databases.
• Build and improve automation tools for recurring reporting and data analysis using Python or VBA.
• Support portfolio analysis through quantitative research, earnings tracking, financial modeling, and market intelligence.

Candidate Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment research, sell-side research, quantitative analysis, derivatives operations, trading support, or capital markets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Python or VBA is required.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research skills.
• Ability to develop original investment ideas rather than simply summarize market consensus.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: BHD 2,000 – 2,600 per month, depending on experience and research capability.
• Annual Performance Bonus: 15–20% of annual base salary, based on research quality, operational accuracy, and overall contribution.
• High-performing candidates may achieve annualized total cash compensation approaching BHD 3,100 per month.
• Direct exposure to institutional-quality portfolio management and investment decision-making.
