The Project Scope Operating from the Business District Tower in Al Khuwair, Datacom Oman is reinforcing its core infrastructure defense. We require a Network Security Engineer to take immediate ownership of our perimeter security and internal threat-mitigation frameworks. This is a hands-on technical role focused on high-availability and zero-trust architecture within the Muscat tech corridor.

Technical Competencies

• Infrastructure Defense: Manage and optimize enterprise-grade firewalls (Fortinet/Palo Alto), ensuring seamless VPN connectivity and intrusion prevention across all Al Khuwair nodes.
• Threat Intelligence: Lead proactive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate network weaknesses before they can be exploited.
• Protocol Governance: Enforce strict NAC (Network Access Control) policies and manage secure VLAN segmentation for diverse tenant requirements.
• Security Auditing: Conduct regular traffic analysis and log reviews to ensure compliance with Oman’s national cybersecurity frameworks.

Candidate Specifications

• Professional Background: 6+ years in dedicated Network Security roles, preferably within an ISP or a high-volume data center environment in the Middle East.
• Required Licensing: Valid CCNP Security or PCNSE certification is mandatory for this salary bracket.
• Linguistic Level: Advanced professional English (C2) is required for technical documentation and vendor coordination.
• Reporting: Ability to provide asynchronous updates on security posture and network health via Loom for executive review.
