About ScaiSQL Tech

Based in the heart of Oman’s premier tech hub, Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), ScaiSQL Tech is scaling its infrastructure to support high-availability data solutions for regional enterprise clients. We are seeking a technical Lead to own our database roadmap and security protocols.

The Role (What you’ll own)

• Architectural Oversight: Lead the design and maintenance of scalable database environments (SQL/NoSQL) at our KOM facility.
• Performance Tuning: Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize query performance to ensure zero-latency for our end-users.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all data handling aligns with Omani Data Privacy regulations and international best practices.
• Mentorship: Guide a small team of DBAs, conducting code reviews and implementing automation scripts to reduce manual overhead.

Prerequisites (The Must-Haves)

• Experience: Minimum 6–8 years in Database Administration, with at least 2 years in a Lead or Senior capacity.
• Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle (Multi-platform experience is a plus).
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Location: Must be currently based in Oman or willing to relocate to Muscat (KOM zone).

Core Competencies

• Advanced knowledge of database clustering and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python or PowerShell) for DB automation.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical needs to executive stakeholders.
