Marketing & Online Merchandising Assistant / Graphic Designer

NYC-based fashion brand seeks a Marketing & Online Merchandising Assistant to support our Senior Marketing Advisor / Creative Director across digital marketing, content creation, website management, and brand communications.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong visual eye, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine interest in fashion, storytelling, and brand building. We are specifically looking for someone who has extensive back and front-end experience with Shopify and who understands social media, digital platforms and algorithms; with experience in building or contributing to successful digital content strategies.

This role largely includes hands-on management of our Shopify website, so backend experience with managing a relatively large Shopify e-commerce site is required.

We are a small team, so this role requires someone with strong self-agency who can take initiative and manage their own workload.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, update, and build products and collections on our Shopify site in tandem with campaigns and production timelines
• Inventory tracking and management on Shopify
• Record, organize, and turn team meeting notes into productive shared weekly agendas
• Assist in developing and executing campaign-based marketing content
• Monitor engagement, performance, and audience insights across platforms
• Support the Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer to prepare visual assets (photos, flyers, reels) for newsletters and Instagram
• Organize and maintain marketing assets, references, and campaign folders on Dropbox and in-studio
• Assist with photoshoots and studio production needs as required
• Coordinate with production and studio teams to ensure consistency across all touch points

Qualifications

• Strong visual sensibility and interest in fashion, art, and design
• Extremely comfortable managing Shopify (front end + back end), including updating pages, content, metaobjects, purchase orders and inventory transfers, etc.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and content performance
• Experience creating or supporting successful content strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.
• Highly organized with strong communication skills
• Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently
• Ability to manage both creative and operational tasks
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required
• Familiarity with Figma and Google Workspace / G-Suite preferred
• Familiarity with Dropbox preferred
• Experience with photography, video, and copywriting
