Mechanical [Architectural] Engineer (Hybrid for NYC Metro or REMOTE - NATIONAL)

We are currently searching for an experienced mechanical (architectural) engineer to join our growing firm and be a part of an organization that strives to exceed client objectives and solve their most complex challenges . The ideal candidate comes with the skills and knowledge to independently design and prepare high-quality engineering documents for retail, workplace, hospitality, and restaurant projects.

Salary Range$80,000-$90,000/annum, Interviewing for (2) roles : 1 to 3 years and 3 to 5 years of experience.

Salary negotiable based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Applicable experience as a mechanical (architectural) designer/engineer at engineering consultancy(ies).A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Existing knowledge of mechanical engineering and familiarity with MEP design and relevant codes such as IMC, IECC, and Ashrae 90.1.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement Mechanical design documentation.
• Proficiency in both Revit and Auto
• CAD.Located in or around NYC with the ability to commute into the office and job sites on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Nice to HaveEIT certification or PE license, or on track to obtain licensure.
• Experience in direct communication with project stakeholders including architects, owners, and other project consultants.
• Ambitions for career advancement including leadership for the Mechanical engineering discipline.
• Existing knowledge of plumbing design.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as lead mechanical engineer on assigned projects.
• Draft technical documentation utilizing both Revit and Auto
• CAD.Perform mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychart for equipment sizing.
• Perform Energy compliance using compliance tool such as Com
• Check and Title 24.
• Perform full MEPF site surveys and reports.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFI's.
