Audit Staff — Your First Step in Public Accounting | San Francisco (On-Site)

As we enter an exciting growth stage for our firm, we're looking for a motivated Audit Staff to join the team.

If you've just graduated (or with 1-2 years of experience) and you're serious about building a career in public accounting, we'd love to hear from you.

What your day-to-day will look like

You'll be a full participant in client work — not a shadow. Expect to:

• Preparing and organizing workpapers for audit, review, compilation and agreed-upon procedure engagements
• Gathering and organizing client documents, schedules and supporting evidence
• Performing analytical procedures, substantive testing and reconciliations
• Drafting financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Communicate directly with clients on requests and routine questions

We're looking for someone who

• Has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Understands US GAAP fundamentals (coursework and internships count)
• Comfortable in Excel and QuickBooks
• Communicates clearly and takes ownership of their work
• Working toward CPA licensure with 150-semester unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits, reviews, and compilations with precision and expertise.
• Address client needs with promptness, efficiency, and a high degree of professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project completion aligns with our growth objectives.

A note on the role

• This is a fully on-site position in the heart of downtown San Francisco - our team works best together in person, especially when you're learning.
• Commute to client office required during fieldworks.
• Busy season (roughly January through April and September through October) will ask more of you in terms of hours. We're transparent about that because we think it's important you go in with eyes open — and because the learning you compress into those stretches is genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else.
