That is this role.
The role
You own the day-to-day responsibility for finance operations as we launch and scale. Everything from processing an invoice to producing the monthly management accounts sits with you. You will build the process, controls and systems from the ground up, keep the cash tight, and make sure the numbers coming out of our clinics, memberships and retail tie out cleanly.
You will have senior finance support behind you, but the day-to-day ownership is yours. We open with one or two clinics in the coming months and grow significantly from there, and this role grows with us.
What you will do
- Own the full finance cycle across the business: invoice processing and supplier payments, billing, bank reconciliations, petty cash, revenue recognition, cost recognition and expenses management.
- Run the monthly close and produce management accounts and a reporting pack people actually trust.
- Keep the cash tight: forecasting, working capital, and a clear view of where we stand.
- Handle the UAE essentials: VAT returns, Corporate Tax readiness, and payroll through WPS.
- Own the finance system and make sure our clinic, membership and retail data reconciles cleanly to the ledger, with support where you need it.
- Build the process, controls and documentation that let finance scale as we open more clinics.
- Partner with our operators and central team, giving them clear numbers and straight answers.
What you bring
- Hands-on, full-function finance experience, genuinely across the whole cycle, from invoice processing and bank reconciliations to monthly management accounts. You have owned the numbers, not just supervised them.
- Range: comfortable in the transactional detail and in front of leadership, and happy moving between the two.
- A working grip on UAE finance: VAT, banking and payments, and payroll through WPS, with an understanding of Corporate Tax.
- Comfort with finance systems: you can own a cloud accounting or ERP system, and you understand why scalable, well-integrated systems matter as a business grows. Experience with something like Xero or Zoho Books is a plus, and deep integration experience is not essential.
- A head for varied transactions: you are comfortable with a business that runs several revenue types (membership, one-off consultations and procedures, retail and pharmacy) and different costing methods, and you pick up a new model quickly. You do not need a veterinary background.
- The ambition to scale with us: the competence and appetite to grow the function, and in time a team, as the network expands.
- An operator's mindset: you build from limited foundations and do not wait for perfect process. Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, CMA or ACA), or qualified by experience with a track record that backs it up.
